Machine to machine (M2M)

Machine to machine (M2M) refers to technologies that allow both wireless and wired systems to communicate with other devices of the same type. M2M can include the case of industrial instrumentation - comprising a device (such as a sensor or meter) to capture an event (such as temperature, inventory level, etc.) that is relayed through a network (wireless, wired or hybrid) to an application that translates the captured event into meaningful information. Such communication can be accomplished, either by having a remote network of machines relay information back to a central hub for analysis, which would then be rerouted into a system like a personal computer, or by system of networks that transmits data to personal appliances.

The expansion of IP networks across the world has made it far easier for M2M communication to take place and has lessened the amount of power and time necessary for information to be communicated between machines. These networks also allow an array of new business opportunities and connections between consumers and producers in terms of the products being sold. One major application area of this is monitoring and controlling of the remote sites from a central system. Prescient has solutions in this space.

RMACS Consists of Remote Monitoring System (RMS) Hardware & Advanced Warning And Reporting Engine (AWARE) Software.

RMS Monitors field digital & analog parameters, controls & communicates with field equipment (e.g. AC Energy Meters, Solar Charge Controllers, Diesel Generators, etc. )
and transmits all data to a central monitoring station (AWARE).

The RMS works on a communication backbone of GSM/GPRS, CDMA & Ethernet networks, alternatively SMS Messages over GSM/CDMA.

RMS stores the data locally in the absence of GPRS/Ethernet Network and updates to central server once the Network connection is restored.

AWARE collects the field equipment data, stores and produces reports including Analytics.

Telecom Towers

Remote Monitoring, Analytics & Control System developed by Prescient, aims to optimize overall equipment efficiency thus reducing man power and operating costs.

RMA & CS consists of Remote Monitoring System (RTU) Hardware & Advanced Warning and Reporting Engine (AWARE) Software.RTU monitors field digital & analog parameters, controls & communicates with AC Energy Meters, SMPS based Power plants, Solar Charge Controllers & Diesel Generators through RS485 port and transmits all data to a central monitoring station (AWARE).The RTU works on a communication backbone of GSM/GPRS, CDMA & Ethernet networks, alternatively SMS Messages over GSM/CDMA.

For important events, such as temperature, DG diesel consumption & power consumption, a time stamped event pattern can be monitored and informed. Cell-phone numbers can be configured into “Escalation Matrix” for the various events. RMS stores the data locally in the absence of GPRS/Ethernet Network and updates to central server once the Network connection is restored.

Mobile A/C Remote Control

Prescient's innovation that enables consumers to operate their Air conditioner no matter where they are in the world. So when you come home, you don’t wait for the Air conditioner to cool the room, but the Air conditioner can cool the room even before you come.

EG-cool IR device that works with a normal SIM card. No matter where you are in the world, if you send a certain code (AC*ON with the parameter setting such as Temperature, Mode & Fan Speed or AC*OFF) by SMS or Web-based application, the device can switch your AC ON or OFF accordingly.

J2ME based Mobile application GUI software help to set the parameter easily to On/Off Air conditioner .

Prescient innovation that enables consumers to have easy interface with microcontroller/PC for Calling, SMS, Remote Control, Data Logging, Alarm etc applications.

GSM Modem can accept any GSM network operator SIM card and act just like a mobile phone with its own unique phone number. Advantage of using this modem will be that you can use its RS232 port/USB to communicate and develop embedded applications. Applications like SMS Control, data transfer, remote control and logging can be developed easily.

The modem can either be connected to PC serial port/USB port directly or to any microcontroller through MAX232. It can be used to send and receive SMS or make/receive voice calls. It can also be used in GPRS mode to connect to internet and do many applications for data logging and control. In GPRS mode you can also connect to any remote FTP server and upload files for data logging.

This GSM modem is a highly flexible plug and play quad band SIM900A GSM modem for direct and easy integration to RS232/USB applications.

Supports features like Voice, SMS, Data/Fax, GPRS and integrated TCP/IP stack.

  • SMS based Remote Control & Alerts

DCU-Data Center Unit

Prescient has developed Data Concentrator Units intended for data acquisition, transmission and storage of metering data from consumer meters to data center, on request or by push mechanism. The DCU is suited for installation in medium voltage (MV) / low voltage (LV) transformer stations as well as at the customer premises. It has numerous plug-in options for connecting meters at the downstream end (LV Power-line carrier (PLC) modem / Low power Radio modem / Serial RS232/485 port). Cellular modem (GPRS/CDMA/PSTN/WIMAX) and Wide Area Network (via Ethernet/ VSAT) are the options available for upstream communication to central system.

he data concentrator can read meters from pre-loaded and programmable schedules or from spontaneous tasks, initiated by central system. It can record daily billing data, hourly/daily profile values and events and store locally for periodic / ad-hoc transmission to the central system. The metering DCU can poll data cyclically on a pre-programmed interval or on ad-hoc basis for on-demand/demand scan. This is Smart-Grid ready and supports bidirectional communication for AMI and Demand Response applications, as well as supporting remote configuration and upgrade.

Data concentrator unit is a micro controller based device which has dual communication capabilities Viz. GPRS and LPR. DCU is designed to collect the data from Meter Interface Unit over Low Power Radio and transfer the data further to the central server using GPRS. It has been within built power supply which can withstand surges up to 6 KV and also has rechargeable Li-ion battery.

School Children Tracking System

SCTS ( School Children Tracking System) is an integrated child and school bus tracking and monitoring solution that ensures children's safety and security while they travel to school and back.

It can:
  • Track your school buses, vans and other vehicles used to transport children
  • Ensure their safety and security
  • Notify you of their impending arrival at pick up and drop off stops
  • Monitor unsafe driving and poor/rash drivers
  • Save you money by optimizing your routes
  • Track, monitor and view your children
